Congratulations!

You’re one step closer to a brand new (and dare we say, epic!) website.

Here’s everything you need to know about your Website in a Week program.

First things first, as the name suggest, we’ll be creating your website in just one week! Exciting hey? No waiting 6-months, of back-and-forth to get your website created and launched.

But don’t worry, it won’t be stressful – we’ve prepared this handy list of things to make sure you’re prepared for your designated design week and you can leave the rest up to us!

Before you begin - KEY DATES TO KNOW

Here are our suggested time-frames, to help you know what to expect (and when it will happen), so you can be sure to book your Website in a Week project, and other relevant activities around your business and personal life’s calendars.

Take-Off Call

(8 weeks out)

We suggest booking this in for a minimum of 8 weeks prior to your Website in a Week Commencement Date, to allow time for scheduling photos, writing website copy and gathering everything you need for your website.

You can book your Take-Off Call, anywhere up to 28 days prior to your Website in a Week Commencement Date. However, we only suggest leaving it this close to your Website in a Week Commencement Date if you already have your photos, website and branding sorted. Otherwise, you won’t have enough time to get these things together before you are required to upload them to your Client Portal.

Organising Your Content

(6 weeks out)

Don’t leave this until the last minute. We’ll discuss this in detail in our Pre-Flight Checklist, along with our Take-Off Call together. However, it’s important that you have plenty of time to organise your branding materials (logo, fonts, colours and style guide), your website copy (the words for your website) and any required brand photography (or find and gather your favourite stock photos). Many creatives are booked-out weeks, or months in advance – and it may take some time for them to create your brand assets.

These brand assets must all be uploaded to your Client Portal, no later than 14 days prior to your Website in a Week Commencement Date. So when booking any other services to help you create the required materials for your website, or if you’re creating your own content, be sure to plan that all materials will be finalised and able to be uploaded to your relevant Google Drive folders (Client Portal) before this date.

Rescheduling your Website in a Week

(28 Days out)

We get it - things happen from time-to-time that are beyond our control. That’s why we offer a 28-day rescheduling window. When you book in your Website in a Week project, we allocate that time for your business. That means, we don’t take on another Website in a Week project at the same time, so that we can provide you with our full-focus. You can reschedule your Website in a Week project, to another available date up until 28 days prior to your Website in a Week Commencement Date. Rescheduling after this date will incur an additional 25% re-booking fee.

Uploading Your Content

(14 Days Out)

We require all of your content to be finalised and uploaded to your Client Portal no later than 14 days before your Website in a Week Commencement Date. Any content added, or updated, after this date will not be included in your Website in a Week project.

If you are on a 4-week payment plan, these must be finalised no less than 14 days prior to your Website in a Week Commencement Date.

One// BOOK YOUR WEBSITE IN A WEEK

Use the form below, to select your design week. You’ll be required to be available throughout the week, to provide feedback, so make sure not to select a week that you’ll be too busy to answer emails – if you’re having surgery, have a major life event, or planning to take a trip away or will be offline, then it’s best to choose another week.

Designated design week’s are available on a first-in, first-served basis. So we suggest grabbing your calendar, and scheduling your week in ASAP.

Note: We require 28 days notice to move your Website in a Week project, after this time, you will be required to pay a 25% rescheduling fee.

If you are on a 4 x weekly payment plan, you will need to allow a minimum of 6 weeks between your initial payment and your Website in a Week Commencement Date. This allows for your project to be paid in full by the time your content is required to be uploaded into your Client Portal (14 days prior to your Website in a Week Commencement Date).

TWO// BOOK IN YOUR WEBSITE ‘Take off’ CALL

In this call, we’ll determine which pages of your site we’ll be working on, and walk through the pre-flight checklist, so you’re prepared with any materials we need from you when your design week rolls around. To give yourself plenty of time to prepare for your design week, we suggest booking this in as soon as possible!

You’ll walk away with a website map, an action plan and a clear vision for your website, to ensure you’re feeling prepared and supported in the creation process of your site.

THREE// PREPARaTION & PLANNING

In the lead-up to your website design week, you’ll be busy collating images, content and copy for your website – it’s a good idea to set aside a little time each week to work through the pre-flight checklist, to ensure that you’re making progress along the way. Things can get a bit stressful if you leave it all to the last minute.

This is the time for writing, or organising your website copy, creating opt-ins or lead magnets, getting professional photos taken or sourcing stock photos. Don’t worry, we’ve outlined it all for you, step-by-step in your pre-flight checklist. We’ll send a copy to you after you’ve signed your contract and booked your Website in a Week date.

FOUR// UPLOADING CONTENT

You should have already received access to your designated Google Drive portal, in the email that you accessed this page via. We suggest making this a bookmark in your browser, so it’s always easy to find.

You can begin uploading content as soon as you like. Your Google Drive folder will currently have the following folders:

Here’s what to add into each folder:

  1. Branding: Add any logo files, style guides, fonts, icons, patterns or textures that are relevant to your brand.

  2. Website Copy: Create a separate document for the copy of each page, according to your website map. We’d love if you named it ‘Page Name - Your Business Name’ to help us find it easily if we need to search for what we’re looking for.

  3. Website Images: Add any stock photos you own a license for, or your own brand photography to this folder. If you want a particular image used for a specific page, or product, or service, please specify by renaming the file accordingly.

We’ll reach out a few weeks before your website week to see how you’re going with getting everything together.
We will require all content to be uploaded and finalised no later than 14 days prior to your Website In a Week start date.

Should your content not be uploaded, we will be using what we have been provided, to create as much of your website as we can. Anything added after this date will be your responsibility to upload into the site, once we have handed over the website ownership to you.
